Custommerce India Chapter 1 Round-up

Custommerce starts off on a high note

November 7th, 2003 was a red letter day in the history of Servion.

Close to 100 senior management members from customer-centric organisations in India and Sri Lanka gathered at Ramoji Film City, a picturesque location near Hyderabad, to participate in 'Custommerce'. Custommerce was conceived with the sole objective of creating it into an industry forum, where organisations the world over come together, to discuss and deliberate customer-centric strategies.

Custommerce 2003 was a two day residential workshop with speakers from Europe, UK and India. Day 1 at Custommerce, saw all delegates go through an experiential learning process on Strategies for a Customer Driven Economy. The evening saw them being subject to a "royal treatment" as they became the Nawabs at the Hyderabadi Theme Party. With a live ghazal performance, the sound of water beating against rocks, dew drops under everyone's feet and the tantalizing taste of Hyderabadi cuisine, the day ended on a magical note.

The entire delegation had the privilege of listening to
Dr. M B Athreya, even as he expounded his thoughts and held them literally in a "trance" on Day 2. Subsequently, representatives from different organisations met, discussed, argued, concurred and presented papers on "Winning Strategies for Customer Retention & Acquisition".

A tour of the film city proved a fitting finale to the entire event.
